McQuaide Blasko sponsors United Way 'Snowman Effect'

For the second year, McQuaide Blasko is challenging the local community to contribute to the Centre County United Way in January and help the organization meet its $2.07 million campaign goal. The firm will match every contribution made online at through Jan. 31, up to a total donation amount of $10,000.

"Like a snowman that begins as a single snowflake, your donation to Centre County United Way accumulates with others to result in a strong and sturdy community for all to enjoy," the organization explained on its website. "Your gift - no matter the size - is part of The Snowman Effect that will ultimately provide equal access to health, education, and financial stability for all our neighbors in Centre County."

As of mid-January, CCUW had raised $1.8 million toward its $2.07 million goal. Centre County United Way supports 37 health and human service agencies. Together, those agencies provide services to one in three county residents each year.

In addition to this matching program, McQuaide Blasko runs an annual employee giving program and contributes to the United Way as a corporation. Firm attorneys volunteer with the campaign and funds distribution and are active in the Young Leaders Group and Leadership Circle.
