Feb. 26 workshop: Top legal, governance issues for employers
McQuaide Blasko attorneys Thomas Schrack and Philip Miles will provide employers with a map through the minefield of managing employees and governing organizations during "Managing Employees: 10 Issues of Law and Governance." Sponsored by Leadership Centre County and the Centre Foundation, the Feb. 26 workshop will be held from 5:15 to 7 p.m. at the Patton Township Municipal Building.
Mr. Schrack and Mr. Miles, both Leadership Centre County graduates, will walk participants through terminating an employee and cover legal issues such as the risk of employment discrimination lawsuits. The attorneys also will discuss governance issues ranging from identifying conflicts of interest to governing under bylaws.
The workshop fee is $15. Register online.
Mr. Schrack focuses his practice on business and transactional law and advises clients engaged in various lines of business throughout Central Pennsylvania. Mr. Miles concentrates on labor and employment law, working with clients ranging from small businesses to major employers.
